I’ve been in a weird mood lately. Not much to say, and not doing much but I have picked up my crochet hooks again! I have a project that I’ve been trying to work on but I’m struggling with it so, last night I decided to make a hat for a sweet little one – a cute little beanie.
I was cleaning up my yarn area (one of them… I found another box of yarn in a completely different part of the house) and found this lovely ‘cake’ I had bought for him a year ago that I hadn’t used yet so I got busy.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed making these hats. I used to make 3 or more a day sometimes! Years ago I set a goal to donate 52 homemade hats to charity at the end of the year. I fell behind and my friends who was bedridden at the time started helping me. We made so many hats and had so much fun visiting and watching Outlander and more. It became our thing and honestly, I miss it. After she passed, I only made a few more, really I just finished a few we had started and then… I just stopped. Until last night and after a few rows, I realized how very much I’ve missed making them, They are so fun to make.
So, that’s what I’m doing today and maybe for the next few! I have a huge stash of yarn that needs to be used and not hoarded and there are probably plenty of people out there in need of hats as we go through winter.

So, if you are wondering where I’ve been and where I am and will be… I have been, am, and will be crocheting hats for family and needy.
Until next time ♥️ …
