Advent is just around the corner

I’ve been busy. I’ve been writing and planning for advent. I was visiting with a friend the other day and she was asking me about my time serving as pastor and I mentioned that I kind of miss preparing a sermon and delivering it. I shared that I had thought of just writing for me and maybe sharing some of it here but that it had been hard to get to it. Whenever I tried, I just drew a blank. My friend was very encouraging and as I had been thinking about advent I decided to try again.

If you look around on here, you’ll see that I used to write a lot devotions… This time, I didn’t write devotions, they are more… reflections for the season. There are some references to scripture but mostly they are reflections on season and making it meaningful.
