Grammie Time!

I’ve been so busy lately!  Well, I was busy and then I was recuperating. Lol

Some special family came for a visit! We had so much fun! We played and played and I have the carpet burns on my knees to prove it. 

We went to the zoo and had so much fun.  We got to see DD perform a little preview of her upcoming show.  We went to the pool, we crawled around the house, we ate, we slept, we snuggled, we just had a blast. 

It all reminded me how much I miss them and wish they lived a little closer… maybe in a days drive radius would be nice.  It takes me two days to drive to them now and it’s just too far!

I always hated living so far away from my family when we first got married and especially after the kids were born but we survived and the kids still love their grandparents and aunts and uncles so… it works but still…. If they were closer it’d be easier.  😉

Sometimes, I really wish our society wasn’t so mobile,.. or maybe, most likely, it’s not society but the military life, though we moved a lot when I was a kid too because my daddy was a minister in the United Methodist Church and back then you moved every 4 years or so… but we stayed in the same state.

Anyway, this sweet little one is so precious. He is such a happy little boy and has the best smile and laugh.  His sweet little babble makes my heart so happy.  He reminds me so much of his daddy when he was little.  That sweetness.  His daddy was the sweetest little boy, who loved with his whole little being.  The smiles, the giggles, the snuggles… his daddy was just like that.

Like I’ve been seeing all over social media lately, I love my grown up kids so very much but sometimes, a lot of times, pretty close to all the time, I miss my littles.  Those years are so amazing and fun, tiring?  Yes. But oh, so much fun. 

If you have littles right now, relish every moment of it.  I know sometimes it seems so hard but those years go by too fast.
