This card today is pretty special. First thing I noticed was the doormat, “Weirdos Welcome.” Made me smile right off the bat. I’ve always been a little weird. Sometimes too much to handle. I’ve been different, or at least I thought I was, because no one else cared about what I did. So, yeah, the doormat spoke to me right away and I did feel welcomed.
But then I read the card. Fear and Love are always waiting,,,
There is so much fear in the world today and so much TO fear! Sometimes, it’s hard to find the love that is out there waiting for us. Sometimes, it’s hard to FEEL the love that is all around us.
I like the reminder to let love in, to invite love in, to bring love in, to open the door to love.
To say to fear, I see you but could you please step aside and let love in? Give Love a little room to do it’s thing?
Perhaps if we invite in Love in more often, Fear wouldn’t visit so often. Maybe as we welcome love into every nook and cranny of our lives the reasons for fear will begin to melt away,
Maybe as we share the love we’ve welcomed into our lives, Love can work it’s magic out in the world at large, one community at a time, one friend, neighbor, stranger, at a time.
What if the love we give is the only love someone receives? What if the love we share makes a difference to someone out there?
Love, when given freely and unconditionally, IS magic. It is transforming to both the giver and receiver. Love is. Share it.
