My heart is full

My Family arrived for a nice visit the other day and my heart is so full.

They live half way across the the country from us and so they don’t get to visit very often. When we were their age we didn’t get home very often either, so I totally get it. BUT… you guys! Having this little sweetheart toddling all over our house is the very best feeling!! Having him run to me just melts my heart.

The day after they arrived DD was bringing her BF over to meet them and I called to ask them park in a particular spot and I almost felt giddy with the anticipation of having this much family under one roof.

The smiles, the laughter, the conversations. They make my heart so very happy.

I am so enjoying chasing the little guy around the house. I love walking through at bedtime and putting toys back in the basket, or putting bowls and lids back in the cabinets. Such silly little things bring me so much joy.

I’m cherishing each and every moment. Working on being in the now and not thinking of them leaving yet. That will come much too soon but until then, we are going to have soo much fun.
