I’ve had a love/hate relationship with social media for a while. I’ve even written about it several times before. I mean, I love to see and hear from friends, I love the funnies and sweets, and the just the interesting videos. I even love reading the news there, but it’s just been so divisive lately. So full of hate and ugliness. So many lies, so much misinformation. I really try to stay off of it. I do have a couple of business pages that keep me going over… and for some friends, long distance, and family too, it’s about the only way I keep up with them anymore.
BUT I’m really considering not for a while and even forever. For one thing it’s a time sucker. You can think, I’m just going to check in on this person, or I’ll just watch a couple of reels and then 2 hours, or more sometimes, has gone by? Gosh, I hope that’s not just me… how embarrassing if it is! Lol
How do you feel about social media? Sometimes I’m more there than reading books or watching tv! So I’m really trying to lay off it.
In other weird news from me, I keep having these weird moments where I feel a Hallmark movie. You read that right, I just get the strong Hallmark movie feeling… sometimes it’s like just the feeling of wanting to watch one, sometimes its as I’m walking by the fire station and a memory of several Hallmark movies come to mind. I don’t know if its just a fall feeling that reminds me or what but it’s been so strong and so weird. I guess I need to give in and just turn one on.
I haven’t yet because well, I don’t have the Hallmark channel anymore and so I’d have to go find one on Prime or Peacock and so there wouldn’t be commercials. And as silly as it sounds, I need the commercials to keep me from just sitting here all day. Also, if I turn it on like a movie vs on “live TV” I feel like I have to sit down and watch it not keep working and moving around it and I think that’s what I really want. I want it for background. I know that I can do that either way but for some reason it’s easier this way. LOL I’m weird.

Also, did I mention that it’s DH’s and mine 33rd wedding anniversary? It is! That means we’ve been a couple for like 36 years!! It’s crazy! I mean I’m barely 36 years old! 🤣 That’s how I feel anyway. I know it’s cliche to say, but where did the time go? It’s really true that time goes by faster the older you get.
We exchanged gifts this morning, he got off work early and went out to the apple orchard where DD is getting married next year to show it to him and look at the pumpkins and flowers and get an apple slushy. It was a fun outing. Now we are getting ready to go through DH’s gift from me to find the perfect for us pizza recipe (his favorite food is pizza so I got him a pizza cookbook) and make a grocery list! Then we will be off to the store to get ready for an evening celebrating us.
Until next time…♥️
