It’s been crazy busy around here lately, but I’m still trying to do my part in between writing devotions and putting together a funeral service, and migraines.

I went to a vigil for Alex Pretti, we were a little late, as we already had things going on but we were there.
I attended a listening session with a candidate for State representative.
I’m still reading and learning and trying to educate myself.
I’m checking on my family and friends. Loving my neighbors near and far.

I made over 25 hats and sent them out all over – Kansas, Missouri, New York, Washington D.C., Nebraska, Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Georgia. They aren’t perfect and not the same pattern as others I’ve seen but they were made with love and care and plenty of resistance.

Later, I will be attending a Rally/Protest to say no to a CoreCivic Detention Center in our little town.
Today, I’m even wearing my baptismal vow t-shirt that reads, “Resisting evil, injustice, and oppression, in whatever forms they present themselves” in rainbow letters.
And I watched the Super Bowl Halftime Show with Bad Bunny. What a great show it was! I do not know hardly any Spanish (only what I got from watching Dora the Explorer with my kids) but I still enjoyed it. Now I wish I did speak Spanish! Anyway, it was fun and upbeat and made us want to dance.
What are you doing this week to make your voice heard? How are you loving your neighbor?
Remember to fight for those without your privilege. Be radicalized by basic decency.
Now, I’m off to write a few letters to my representatives.
Until next time…♥️
