Here’s a little midweek devotional…

There’s a season for everything and a time for every matter under the heavens… Moreover, this is the gift of God: that all people should eat, drink, and enjoy the results of their hard work. I know that whatever God does will last forever; it’s impossible to add to it or take away from it.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-18

Just like the seasons of nature, we all go through seasons of life… some are harder than others but each season is a gift from God.  Even this season of pandemic we are in!  It is giving us an opportunity to slow down, to focus on what’s truly important.  We are getting to be creative in how we stay in touch, in how we worship and work.

I’m not saying that the pandemic is a gift. Not at all.  But what I am saying is that we are given opportunities in each season, good and not so good.  Opportunities to share, to love, to learn, to be creative, to rest.  Opportunities are there, it’s up to us to use them, to see them, to make the best of them and to appreciate them.
