Here’s a little midweek devotional for you…

“O Lord, you have searched me and know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.”

– Psalm 139

This is the last in our “Bless to Me” series.  I’ve really enjoyed this series.  It’s really helped me to look for the blessings in my life, even in the hard stuff.  So, I hope you have enjoyed it as well.

Our scripture today invites us to recognize that God is in.  God is in everything… the good, the not so good, the turmoil, the joys, the every day mundane things of life, and the big celebrations too!  God’s presence is every place, in every thing no matter what.

Nothing we can do can remove him, no legislation, no rules, no doors, nothing can remove us from God’s presence.

We can see God in nature all around us – creation.  We can see God in the smile on one of God’s children’s faces.  We can hear God in the birdsong, in the crickets, in the laughter and the tears.  God is present – ALWAYS.  God is IN.

Bless us this day, O God and open our eyes, ears and hearts to your presence. Amen.
