I don’t know about you, but I seem to really embrace the idea of hibernation in the winter. I seem to have embraced it a little extra this year.
It seems my motivation has been on hiatus and so I just want to sit in my home, in my chair and honestly, do nothing.
This is NOT good for my physical or mental health so, I’m on a mission to get myself moving and going and doing again.
Yesterday, I spent the afternoon, tidying things a bit and then I decided on completely rearranging the living room again. I had to rearrange things a bit for the Christmas tree and after taking it down, I decided I needed to change it again.
I felt so good to have a fresh start in the living room. Now to keep up the momentum!
I did a little crocheting last night as we watched a movie and then read a little in bed before going to bed.
I feel like those are good ways to start get me out of my hibernation funk, but I definitely need more.
I was late getting my planner this year, so I’m still waiting on it, but I purchased one that has a little checklist for each day of ideas to keep the home running smoothly and I’m hoping that will inspire me to keep moving and not just sitting in my chair scrolling. They aren’t anything big, new or brilliant, just, you know, wipe down the counters, sweep the floor, wipe out the sink, exercise… but I’m hoping having the reminder in my face each day will keep me moving at least a little.
And I’m hoping that little will grow into wanting to do more, more often. I’ve been going in spurts but need motivation to keep going regularly!
So sad to admit here in the blogosphere but I am. I’m calling my unmotivated self out! Get up! Get going! Let’s Do This!
