Growing Older

As you probably have already experienced if you’re over 40, growing older is not for the faint of heart… I noticed my knees bothering me a few or more days ago.  I’m been tired and lacked energy… During the holidays, I really let myself enjoy the yummy eats and time with family so… I’ve put on a few pounds and really slowed my moving down.  The weather played a part in it too but we tended to sit and visit more and more especially after the little one left.

So last night, I had enough of it and decided I had to get up and do my yoga.  Usually, when my knees (and hips) bother me, it’s mostly due to tight muscles in my legs.  So this morning, I got up and brought my yoga mat down so I’d be ready for yoga after my tea.

It felt so good!  Why do I ever stop moving my body?  It matters more than what I eat!  But I also need to eat a little more reasonably.

After I did my yoga I took a few minutes to just listen to some music and move my body, and it also felt amazing.

Then my mom and I went running around.  We spent the whole day out shopping and eating lunch and after being gone all day, I still had plenty of energy when we got home to get out take down a few more decorations I needed to get put up.  I couldn’t believe it!

I. Had. Energy!

At 4 in the afternoon!  I even continued on and folded laundry!

All I can say is if you are low on energy after the holidays and having trouble getting back to yourself, get yourself up and MOVE!  It doesn’t have to be a lot, just move!  You’ll feel so much better!  I can’t believe the difference.

I also, felt less snacky!   Not say I didn’t have a snack but it was smaller and only one, not all day.  Lol

I feel great and hope I can keep it up.  Remembering how much better feel should give me what I need to keep to going.  Should… I said should… We shall see.

Until next time…♥️
