Birdsong…

This morning as I sat in my chair by the big picture window, tea in hand, I watched as three birds landed on the recently filled bird feeder. I tried to catch a photo but of course, when I moved my arm they flew away. (This photo was in the afternoon as I was writing this.)

I tried to sit as still as possible so I could get a photo but instead, I was rewarded with the sound of their birdsong! It was lovely! Beautiful music to my ears. I haven’t heard their song in a while so it was nice to have them back visiting again.

Today the sun is out and the temperatures are a little warmer, we are supposed to get in to the 50s today and the 60s tomorrow! I LOVE winter but I will say that I am looking forward to getting back outside. I miss sitting out on the patio soaking up the sun while being cooled by the wind. Of course by Thursday we are expecting 1-3 inches of snow but I am enjoying these glimpses of spring that remind me that spring will eventually come when it is time.

But then comes the pollen… and the allergies… red puffy eyes… but that’s a story for another day. Today, I’ll enjoy the sun streaming through the windows and the birdsong filling the air.
