Last week I did a “Wonderful Wednesday” post reminding me how wonderful life is with all its many blessings. I think I’ll keep it up for a while so here we go!
- My DH is home! He got home last Wednesday and I am ever so thankful! He has been amazing. He helped me with all the services we had last week for Holy Week and Easter. He never signed up for this role of Pastor’s spouse but he has sure stepped up to the plate in a BIG way and I love him for it.
- This beautiful weather! It has just been so lovely. I’ve been enjoying walks and watching the birds at the feeder and squirrels play in the yard gathering up the acorns. I know some people really don’t like squirrels but I just love them! They provide me with lots of entertainment.
- We had good crowds (for us) for Easter services! We had about 20 at each service. Doesn’t sound like a lot but we average about 15 so… I’m hopeful it will continue.
- It’s Pasta Night! Wednesday is one of our high-calorie days, so we are looking forward to pasta with my homemade sauce with lots of yummy goodness and chicken Italian sausage and garlic bread!
Sometimes I feel myself feeling like there is not much in this world to be happy about (fires, killings, illness, hate, greed is much too rampant) so this Wonderful Wednesday post keeps me real, looking outside of the ugliness and into the beauty that is everywhere. It gives me some good down time to just sit and enjoy the quiet, look out at the world with new, fresh, happier eyes to see all the wonder of God’s creation.
I’m pretty good at staying upbeat for others when they need it but sometimes it’s hard to find it for myself so Wednesdays, right in the middle of the week, are perfect for focusing on the good around me too.
What makes this a Wonderful Wednesday for you? I’d love to hear about it!
