Wonderful Wednesday

So many blessings to count today.  The first I want to mention, though, I don’t want to say is a blessing because, well, my blessing shouldn’t be someone else’s curse.

Last night the tornado sirens went off for over an hour.  DD and I sat in the basement watching the radar of a tornado a mile wide.  It stayed away from us and I am so grateful for that but it hit other communities, hard.  I can’t say that we were blessed because that would mean that those that got hit weren’t, or at least not as much as us because they lost so much but I will say that we were lucky and I am grateful for that. Please lift all those affected by the storms yesterday in your prayers.

Now for my blessings…

Time with DD!  I love spending time with her.  My dream is that she will someday move back to the area or at least a lot closer so can I see her more often.  Yesterday, we went to the movies and wandered around some shops until the sky started getting scary.  Love that girl!  Today will be another full day of fun with her!

An upcoming trip to see DS and DDIL and the grandpups too!  Can’t wait to see them!  I just don’t get to see them often enough either.  I dream of the day they might be little closer too though I figure this might be as close as they get so I need to take advantage of it while I can!

The AC is fixed for now!!  Last weekend, it went out and it was miserable in the upstairs of our home.  We are much cooler now, thankfully.  It’s just a temporary fix and it will need to be replaced but we have a little bit of time and are cool.

You know, sometimes it’s so hard to name my blessings, which seems strange since there are so many.  But when I go to write them down… I often draw a blank.  I think it’s partly because I don’t want to say the same thing over and over and partly because … well, I don’t know.  Maybe it’s the time of the day, maybe it’s a mood.  I do have so very much for which to be thankful and I am truly blessed.
