So much to say…

So I’ve been wanting to post for a while now.  Not another devotional but just a post about life and what I’m doing but life has been so crazy that I just can’t ever seem to find the time.  I know, we’re on stay at home orders, what is there to do?  Well, let me tell you. I have been more busy than ever with all my church work… but anyway… back to life.

We went and brought DD home to go through this time with us here at home.  Would have brought DS and DIL home too but the army probably would have frowned upon that.   It’s been nice having DD home.  So much less worry.

Then we got a new puppy!  It has taken me a long time to get over the loss of our precious

My sweet Chief

Chief almost 2 years ago but I had started seeing photos of dogs and found myself wanting them so… We now have Sidney.  He is one year and 7 months old and he is absolutely precious.  I swear he is either our Chief reincarnated or Chief’s spirit is in our home guiding this little guy to all the things Chief loved to do.   It has been nice loving on him and being loved on by him and playing with him.  So far NO regrets.

Today DD and I decided to go foraging in our backyard.  We picked a bunch of dandelions and made a salad.  I didn’t care much for the dressing we made… I didn’t like this olive oil. img_1633Not my favorite brand but in this day and time we take what we can get… anyway.  I ended up putting some on a sandwich and it was good!  DD tried to be fancy and added roasted potatoes and Brussel sprouts in her salad… Well, the Brussel sprouts and dandelion greens didn’t go to well together… she was gagging!  It was hilarious!  She picked out the sprouts and said it was much better.  I’m not giving up on the dandelion greens.  We will keep trying them.  They are super healthy!  Who knew a ‘weed’ would be so nutritious?  Probably everybody.  LOL  But it’s kind of hard to change that thought process of it being a weed and something worthless that ruins the look of your yard… according to DH.  With all it’s vitamin K, I’m expecting to have perfect eye sight by morning!
