Quiet Time

How do you spend your quiet time?  Do you pray?  Meditate?  Write?  Read?

I used to pray or do a devotional or Bible study.  

Now, I’m kind of just finding my way again… sometimes I pray, sometimes I just sit in quietness and observe the beauty of nature around me.  Sometimes, I write… Maybe a prayer, maybe just thoughts. Sometimes I work to ground myself and open myself to receive…   Sometimes I just sit and think about… the world, family, friends… 

This morning, I took a candle and my tea outside and sat and observed… I captured a few photos of the clouds and trees… I thought about peace and how fleeting it seems, I chatted with God and ended up writing a little of that down… and I sipped some hot tea and just enjoyed the morning.

I do think quiet time is important.  It helps us center ourselves and start the day peacefully.   At least it does for me. I don’t always get to it but I’ve really been trying to do this again.  It’s not a lot of time… maybe 5 or 10 minutes but I can feel the difference in my day.
