Be Still

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” ~Psalm 46:10

It’s not always easy to be still, is it? Our mind is constantly at work solving problems, creating problems, am I right?

But scripture tells us to be still and recognize God.  In this crazy world of constant distractions and busyness, how are we to do that?

I like to take a moment and shut my eyes and just breathe.  I try to push aside any thoughts that come to mind and just be still and quiet.   Sometimes it even works!

I love when I’m sitting or walking outside and the wind blows.  My eyes automatically close and I slow down and just feel the wind on my face.  It’s a gentle caress that brings me peace.

This being still feels so good.  How do you find this peace?  How do you find these moments of stillness?
