The last few weeks, I’ve been kind of soul searching. Kind of trying to find myself again spiritually. I’ve been feeling a bit lost… not sure who I am, where I want to be, even what exactly I believe!
This soul searching has moved me away from my computer, from social media. I’ve been reading, I’ve been cooking, I’ve been sitting outside, going through things, meditating and so on. Honestly, it’s been wonderful!
We’ve been eating fresh foods from the farmer’s market and home-baked goodies by me and it feels wonderful! Taking time for this is one of the best things we’ve done lately.
Today, I have baked fresh bread for lunch, watered the front and back yard, gone grocery shopping, cleaned off the front porch and the back patio, transplanted a plant that desperately needed more room. I’ve fixed a home-cooked lunch for DH and me. I’ve meditated and more and it’s only 2pm! I feel great!
One of the things I’ve been finding is a desire to get back to nature. No, I’m not out hiking or planting a garden but I have been making a concerted effort to sit outside more every day. I even took time last night to go out and enjoy the moon and the stars! It was lovely and I even saw a shooting star!! It was beautiful!
I still have tons to do and I’ll get it done, not all today or even this week but I’ll get to it. I love taking this time for me. In doing so, I’m finding I have more time for others! And oh my, how the blessings abound.
