Oh, my friends, I have made no secret how I have felt about this election. Today I am elated. I cried when they announced Joe Biden as our President-Elect and I keep finding myself in tears off and on. They are tears of joy and of relief.
I want to be cautious in sharing my feelings on this because I know the feeling that goes with losing an election and I want to keep that forefront in my mind. I don’t want to hurt anyone. I don’t want to “rub it in.” I don’t want to find joy in some else’s pain.
I do want to be a part of the “Build Back Better” of our UNITED States. I want to play a role in uniting us and not continue the dividing that has been going on since the election 4 years ago.
My dream for this next administration is one that is kinder, that is inclusive of everyone, that works for the people.
I know that a lot of hurt has been incurred the last 4 years. Friendships have been lost, families have been torn apart, lives have been lost. I know that some relationships have gone beyond repair but I hope and pray that as a country we can come together and begin to heal.
My friends, I see you, I hear you, I feel your pain. I am reaching my hand out to you in love. Whether you are a republican, a democrat, a Trump supporter, a Biden supporter or anywhere in-between, I see you, I hear you, I pray for you, I pray for us, I pray for this great country of ours, that we find common ground and unite as one.
Sherri, so well said. Love this!!!
