Happy Monday! GO CHIEFS!!
I’m actually not a big football person, but it’s always exciting to have our home team head to the Super Bowl AGAIN!!
It’s a new week, a clean slate, maybe even a new chapter. What do you plan on doing with it?
I like the idea of a reset… maybe I’ll reset the house, maybe I’ll reset my routine, my pantry…
This morning, I made a yummy breakfast of potatoes, yellow bell pepper, asparagus, shaved ham and a scrambled egg… it smelled amazing cooking and tasted just as good! I feel like it was a great reset for me.
I don’t know if you noticed but last week, I started blogging again. 😁 It was fun to write again. I’ve been missing it but I often can’t figure out what I want to say or I just never get around to doing so… that’s what I reset last week and I hope to continue it. I think writing is good for my soul.
You know what else is good for my soul? Cooking!! I love cooking but don’t always let myself enjoy it. It often just becomes work instead of something I love.
I discovered the Jamie Oliver Channel on Roku a couple of weeks ago and have really been enjoying watching it! I love the 15 minutes meals, the comfort meals, I love when he travels too. There was one episode in South Korea and I can’t wait for DH to be able to eat fully again so we can have a couple of those recipes! We loved eating in South Korea when we lived there and our neighbor is Korean and she brings us some of their yummy food at Christmas time. It’s our favorite gift we all look forward to every year!
But my favorite show of Jamie’s (we’re like this🤞now) is his one where he travels around Italy. Oh, it makes me want to be more adventurous in my cooking! Let’s try anchovies! Let’s try squid! I haven’t convinced DH on those yet but I’m going to keep working on it.
Anyway, that’s where my breakfast came in this morning, my feeding my soul in more ways than one and it- felt- good.
So what are you doing this week? Beside resetting, I’m betting we are heading out to find some new Chiefs apparel for the family, they all need it for the BIG game no matter where they are! Have a beautiful day. ❤️
